NEW POSTAL REQUIREMENTS
Overview:
The US Postal Service (USPS) is implementing a new set of requirements designed to reduce the number of undeliverable mail pieces that flow through their system every day. The USPS calls this initiative the “Move Update”. Effective November 23, 2008, the USPS will require all mail service providers to “correct” bad addresses or face penalties.
How We Can Help:
Effective immediately, Signature will process all mailing lists through National Change of Address software (NCOA). This service meets the USPS “Move Update” requirements and also saves you money in postage by eliminating undeliverable mail. Signature can also forward the corrected addresses back to you. If your company prefers to handle your own NCOA processing, simply provide your NCOA certificate along with your mailing list. NCOA certificates are valid for 95 days.
Please be assured that Signature’s new mailing protocol is in compliance with the USPS Move Update. We look forward to working with you on your next mailing project. |
